The Czech Republic faces a daunting challenge at the Women’s World Handball Championship, following Norway’s dominant performance against Sweden. Czech coaches acknowledge the immense physical and skill gap demonstrated by the Norwegian team, setting the stage for a challenging upcoming match.
The Czech women’s team is preparing to confront Angola, a team they previously lost to 25-28, after managing onyl one win in four matches against Cuba. Despite the odds, the Czech representatives aim to concentrate on their own performance, refining both offensive and defensive strategies. According to coach Tomáš Hlavatý, “We have our goals and we want to focus on ourselves, work on both offensive and defensive aspects.”
Hlavatý also commented on Norway’s strength, stating, “The Swedes looked like little children against them in the frist half. Norway is currently an incredibly dominant team. The physical preparation is at an enormous level, the individual quality is also extremely high.” The Czech Republic will need to overcome significant hurdles to achieve success in the tournament.
