Royal Air Maroc Boosts Brazil Service with new São Paulo Frequency
SÃO PAULO – Royal Air Maroc is increasing service between Casablanca and São Paulo this week, adding a new flight too meet growing demand. A departure from Morocco to Brazil will now operate on Tuesdays (November 2nd), and a return flight will leave Guarulhos airport for Casablanca on Wednesdays (November 3rd). This brings the total to four weekly flights connecting the two countries, expanding from previous departures on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The airline attributes the expansion to its broader global growth strategy, further fueled by strong partnerships with Embratur, the Brazilian tourism board, and GRU Airport, the concessionaire operating São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. These entities are collaborating on a joint initiative to promote Brazilian tourism and reinforce connections within the Global South.
“Brazil is a key mobility hub in the South Atlantic, with potential that goes far beyond leisure in an exotic contry,” stated Othman Baba, Royal Air Maroc’s regional director for South America. “Our partnership with Embratur and GRU Airport provides technical and institutional support to strengthen Brazil as a destination within our global network.”
The increased flight frequency comes as Brazil experiences a surge in international tourism, with a 45% increase in visitor numbers from January to October, according to Royal Air Maroc.
