Abim Thomas: A ⁤Leader in​ Law and Litigation at Fidelity Investments

Abim Thomas currently serves as Vice President and Associate ⁤General counsel within the Litigation group at Fidelity Investments. Her extensive legal career is marked by significant leadership roles and a commitment⁢ to‍ public service and mentorship.

Prior to‌ joining Fidelity, Thomas held the‍ position of⁢ Head of Global‍ Litigation at‍ Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated. before that, she ⁣was a litigation partner at Goodwin Procter, specializing in securities,‌ white-collar criminal defense, and⁢ complex commercial⁣ litigation. ⁢ Her experience also includes a period ‍of public ⁤service ​as Deputy Chief Counsel to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and ‌earlier⁤ work as a litigation associate at ​Ropes & Gray.

civic Engagement and Professional Leadership

Beyond her corporate roles, Thomas is‌ deeply‍ involved in ⁣several organizations⁣ dedicated to justice and legal well-being. ⁢She currently serves on the Board of Directors for​ both Discovering justice and the Ella Lyman Cabot⁢ Trust. She also⁤ holds the ‍position of Vice Chair of ‍the Massachusetts Lawyers⁣ Concerned for⁣ Lawyers Oversight Committee, demonstrating a dedication to supporting the mental health and ⁣professional obligation of her peers.

Thomas is a committed mentor,actively participating‌ in‌ the​ Women’s Bar Association’s Women’s Leadership​ Initiative. Her past ⁣leadership roles include service on the Boston Bar Association Council and as President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers ⁣Association. She is also a ​proud alumna of the Leadership Council⁣ on ​Legal Diversity Fellows program.

Abim Thomas’s contributions to the legal field have been widely recognized.
