New York Times counters public insults

by Lucas Fernandez – World Editor

Donald⁢ Trump responded to a New York Times article questioning his energy levels with a scathing attack on the newspaper and⁣ one of it’s ⁣journalists,⁢ Katie‌ Rogers. In a post on his ⁢social media⁢ platform, Trump dismissed the reporting as‌ a “hit piece” from “radical left-wing‍ lunatics” and personally criticized Rogers,‌ calling her a “second-rate reporter who is ugly, inside and ⁤out.”

The exchange underscores Trump’s ongoing and often combative relationship with the media, notably outlets he views as⁢ critical.⁤ the⁢ Times article, published recently, noted observations of a more subdued Trump during recent public appearances. Trump countered by asserting ⁣his continued vigor and referencing recent medical evaluations, including a cognitive test he claimed to have “passed with flying colors.”

According to Trump’s post, Rogers was “hired to write only bad things about me.” He stated that his energy would eventually wane, “but this time is definitely not now!” and concluded with his signature slogan, “GOD BLESS ⁣AMERICA & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” A ⁢German publication, Merkur, reported rumors of Trump undergoing a health check and cognitive testing.‌ This article was created in cooperation with newsweek.com.
