Lévis Mourns Irène Laliberté, Remembered by Family and Community
Lévis resident Irène Laliberté passed away peacefully at the Center d’accueil Saint-Joseph on November 19, 2025, at the age of 82. The loss is deeply felt by her husband, Jacques Pouliot, her daughters, grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends.
This passing marks the end of a life lived in Lévis’ Saint-David sector,and prompts an outpouring of support for the Pouliot and Laliberté families. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Groupe Garneau Thanatologue, offering a space for remembrance and shared grief. The family encourages those wishing to honor Irène’s memory to consider a donation to the Société Alzheimer de québec.
Born to Louis-Philippe Laliberté and Denise Lamontagne, Irène Laliberté is survived by her daughters, Danny Tremblay (Bernard) and Mélanie Asselin (Pascal); and her grandchildren, Marc-Étienne Roy (Kim), Antoine Fournier (Annabelle), Ann-Catherine Tardif (jacob), and Déreck Nadeau (emma). She is also remembered by her sister, Esther Cayer (Mario), and brother, Jean-Denis Fortin (Monique), as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Claudette Beaulieu, and brothers-in-law, lucette Bélanger and Jean Pouliot.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff of the 5th floor of the Youville wing at the Centre d’accueil Saint-Joseph for the compassionate care provided to Irène.
A gathering to celebrate Irène’s life will be held at Complexe Blais, Gilbert & Turgeon, located at 6100, boul. wilfrid-Carrier, Lévis, QC, on Sunday, December 7, beginning at 1:00 PM, with a ceremony to follow at 3:00 PM in the complex’s chapel.
