NGenBio and Soonchunhyang University hospital Partner to Advance AI-powered Precision Medicine for Female Cancers
NGenBio is collaborating with Soonchunhyang University Hospital to implement an AI-driven genome analysis system across all four hospitals within the Soonchunhyang Central Medical Center, aiming to revolutionize precision medicine, particularly in the field of female cancers.
NGenBio’s Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) analysis software, ‘NGAS (NGrneAnalySys)’ – currently utilized by approximately 30 medical institutions in 28 countries – is at the heart of this initiative. The upcoming ‘NGAS 2.0’ will significantly enhance AI capabilities, accelerating diagnostic speed and improving accuracy. This partnership extends beyond simple software provision, focusing on standardizing AI and data-driven diagnostic workflows and improving data interoperability between hospitals.
The collaboration will facilitate the integrated management of genomic, clinical, and imaging data, automating diagnostic processes and boosting overall analysis efficiency. NGenBio envisions NGAS 2.0 as a comprehensive AI-based diagnostic platform supporting clinicians’ decision-making.
Soonchunhyang university Hospital brings significant expertise to the partnership, particularly in women’s cancer treatment, building on its legacy as the nation’s first maternal and child health center and the specialized Women’s Cancer Center at soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital. NGenBio’s contribution includes Korea’s first Ministry of Food and Drug Safety-approved BRCA-exclusive test panel, providing a strong technical foundation for customized female cancer diagnosis.
Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital has already begun utilizing the NGAS system for genome analysis, with plans for a full rollout across the Soonchunhyang Medical Center. The hospital aims to become a leading medical big data-centered precision treatment center, leveraging an bright diagnosis platform and integrated clinical data management system.
Together,NGenBio and Soonchunhyang Medical Center will pursue data utilization research and explore commercialization models for the medical data generated on the platform, fostering a data-centered medical innovation ecosystem.
“NGAS 2.0 is evolving into an analysis automation system readily deployable in clinical settings through AI technology,” stated an NGENBIO official. “this collaboration will establish an AI precision medicine platform encompassing the entire Soonchunhyang Medical Center.”
