Benzema Urges Mbappé, Madrid Attack to Improve Communication

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – Former Real madrid striker karim Benzema believes Kylian Mbappé‍ is capable of even greater contributions for teh Spanish giants, but also highlighted a ⁣need for improved synergy within Madrid’s attacking quartet. Benzema, currently playing ⁣for Al Ittihad, stated that ⁤Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, and Jude⁣ Bellingham ⁢need to refine their communication on the‌ pitch ⁤to maximize their collective impact.

The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner, who continues to ⁤follow real Madrid’s progress, emphasized ⁣the importance ⁤of clearly defined roles within the attack.‌ While acknowledging each player’s specific strengths -‌ Mbappé as a goalscorer, others as providers – Benzema stressed that effective communication is‌ crucial for unlocking their⁤ full ‌potential. “One is there to score goals,⁤ another ⁢to provide assists,” he said. “We’re not ‍going to tell Bellingham to score ⁤goals because that’s Mbappé’s job,⁤ nor tell him to‌ be the ‍number 10 because that’s Bellingham’s role. They have to communicate.”

Benzema’s comments come as Real Madrid navigates a demanding season, seeking success in both LaLiga and the Champions ‍League.Optimizing the interplay between ⁢their star attackers will be vital to achieving those ambitions.

Looking ahead ‍to his own future, Benzema indicated⁢ he is⁣ enjoying his time in Saudi ⁢Arabia but remains open to⁤ extending his contract with Al Ittihad, which is set to expire ⁤in June‌ 2026. The forward, ⁣who will turn 38 in December, feels physically fit and intends to continue playing for at least two more⁤ years. “I like to talk face-to-face and see what they think,” he said. “The best thing for me is to continue here, but also not just stay for the sake of staying for another year or two. I can’t do that.” He also noted the Saudi⁤ League is “getting better and better.”
