Los Alamos, NM – Exit Realty Advantage NM has launched its annual Northern New Mexico Toy Drive, aiming to reach over 10,000 children this holiday season. the drive comes at a critical time, with organizers reporting an increased need for support due to the recent government shutdown.
The toy drive focuses on providing gifts – including those supporting sports, art, music, and dance – to children across Northern New Mexico, from Albuquerque to the Colorado border, the Navajo Nation in the four Corners, Mora, and Las Vegas. A key component of the effort is ensuring every teen in the foster care system receives a gift. Organizers emphasize that all contributions, whether financial or volunteer time, are vital to the drive’s success.
“We beleive every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved-especially during the holidays,” said representatives of Exit Realty Advantage NM. “Whenever possible, we support local businesses and local giving, keeping our community’s generosity right here at home.”
This year’s efforts are notably crucial given the current economic climate. Donations are urgently needed, but volunteers are also sought to help sort and organize the collected toys.
