Counterfeit Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Phones Listed for Sale Online
Amazon and other e-commerce platforms are currently listing counterfeit versions of the unreleased Samsung Galaxy S26 ultra for sale, some priced as low as $169.99. The fraudulent listings emerged while Samsung continues progress of its next-generation Galaxy S26 series.
Several manufacturers are offering these ”knockoff” devices, capitalizing on consumer anticipation for the upcoming flagship phone. One seller, FONAIRIL, lists a device labeled “S26 Ultra” and “C26 Ultra,” claiming specifications including a 7.3-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 elite processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, alongside a 6,800 mAh battery and microSD card slot. The phone also mimics the appearance of Samsung’s Galaxy S series, even including a stylus resembling the S Pen.
The counterfeit devices bear a superficial resemblance to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, featuring a patterned body and a camera array advertised as offering 108MP and 72MP resolution with a five-lens configuration.
Industry experts note the listed price of $169.99 is unrealistic given the claimed high-end components. A smartphone equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor would not be available at such a low cost. Numerous other brands are also attempting to sell similar counterfeit products online.
While these listings might potentially be easily identifiable to tech-savvy consumers, they pose a risk of fraud to those less familiar with smartphone technology and pricing. Consumers are advised to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of products before making a purchase.
