Bradley Wilkinson Jailed for 16 years Over Road Rage death of Rhyce Harding
Sydney, NSW – Bradley Wilkinson, 40, has been sentenced to 16 years’ jail with a non-parole period of 12 years for the death of Rhyce harding in a road rage incident in Blackett, New South Wales, in June 2024. The sentence was handed down in the NSW District Court on Monday, concluding a case that highlighted the devastating consequences of escalating road conflict.
The incident, captured on CCTV footage, unfolded after Wilkinson cut off Harding as he exited a roundabout, preventing him from merging and avoiding a parked car.The confrontation escalated when Harding approached Wilkinson’s vehicle, at which point Wilkinson allegedly held Harding against the side of the car and drove forward. Harding fell from the vehicle and died from his injuries. Wilkinson later handed himself in to police the following day.
According to court testimony, Wilkinson’s actions led to a profound loss for the Harding family. Rhyce Harding’s sister, Stephanie Grech, a police officer herself, learned of the fatal incident while on duty, identifying her “baby brother” through details of the vehicles involved. Her brother Michael grech brought Harding’s ashes to the sentencing hearing, where family members shared heartbreaking accounts of the impact of his death.
“While her brother would want her to forgive Wilkinson,she did not know that she ever could,” a statement from Harding’s sister revealed the lasting emotional toll of the tragedy.
