BOSTON – The Boston Celtics will face the⁤ Orlando‌ Magic Wednesday night in ‌a⁤ key NBA In-Season Tournament matchup, televised nationally on ⁣ESPN at ⁣7:30 PM ET. This contest marks the first of two group stage games this week for boston, as they aim to advance to‌ the knockout rounds​ of the inaugural tournament.

The‌ NBA’s‌ new In-season Tournament,⁣ designed to inject excitement into the early regular season, divides all ⁤30⁤ teams into ⁤six⁣ groups for a month-long ⁢competition culminating in ‍a championship game on ⁢december 9th. All tournament games played in November will count towards the regular season standings. The Celtics currently hold a 4-2 record and are looking to build momentum with ⁤a win against Orlando, who recently suffered a loss⁢ marked by 17 turnovers‍ despite a strong performance ⁤from Paolo Banchero (22 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists).

Jaylen Brown is coming off consecutive 30-point performances, having scored 36 ​against Utah on‌ Monday and 35 ​against Washington on Wednesday. Brown reached the ‍30-point plateau in four of his last five⁤ games,⁣ including ⁤a dominant showing against Washington where he made ⁣13 of⁣ 21 shots and scored 16 points​ in the ‍first quarter before resting⁢ the entire fourth quarter.

Josh‌ Minott has also emerged ‍as a key contributor, scoring a career-high⁣ 21⁤ points against Washington on 8-of-12 shooting.Since being elevated to the starting ​lineup, the ⁢Celtics have posted a 4-2 record.
