Recent sales figures show the Nintendo Switch 2 has recently set a record and is selling exceptionally well,impacting sales of the original Switch. Despite a sometimes “strange pricing policy” from nintendo, the classic Switch is expected to see strong sales during the upcoming holiday season.
Sony recently revised the PS2’s sales figures to “over 160 million copies” when it became apparent the Switch was nearing its previous record, but did not provide a precise number.
A definitive answer regarding weather the Switch will surpass the PlayStation 2 is anticipated when Nintendo announces its quarterly figures for October to December 2025. Regardless of the outcome, the Nintendo Switch is already recognized as a major success in the video game industry.
