Juticalpa delivered a stunning 4-3 victory over Real España in a Honduran National League match marred by controversy, as a late goal sealed the comeback and ignited fury over a disputed call.
The result provides a significant boost for Juticalpa, led by Humberto Rivera Ocampos, while dealing a blow to Real España’s ambitions under Jeaustin Campos.
Real España dominated the early stages, with Bayan Moya testing Juticalpa goalkeeper Denovan Torres in the 23rd minute. Though, Yeison Moreno broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute with a header, giving the visitors the lead.
Juticalpa responded swiftly, with nicolás Gómez equalizing in the 43rd minute with a header of his own. But Real España regained the advantage just before halftime, as Nixon Cruz scored in the 45th minute.
