Netanyahu Orders Immediate Strikes on Gaza Strip Following West Bank Raid
Kafr Quud, West Bank – October 28, 2025 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin netanyahu has ordered immediate strikes on the Gaza Strip following a raid by Israeli police and army in the village of Kafr Quud, west of Jenin, in the West Bank. The operation targeted what Israeli authorities described as a terrorist cell and infrastructure.
According to the Israeli army, the raid unfolded after forces engaged with ”terrorists” who emerged from an underground hiding place. Subsequently, an air raid was conducted by the Israeli Air Force on the cave ”to destroy the terrorist infrastructure there,” police stated.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health, based in Ramallah, has identified the three men killed as Abdullah Mohammed Omar Jalamneh, Qais Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Beitawi and Ahmed Azmi Aref Nashrati, all in their 20s.
Footage from Agence France-Presse showed Palestinian firefighters extinguishing flames amidst charred rubble of a car and damaged olive trees near the cave entrance. Personal belongings and mattresses were visible in the video.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz asserted the raid foiled “a serious threat of attack.” “Any attempt by terrorist organizations to rebuild terrorist infrastructure in judea and Samaria [Israel’s name for the West Bank] – that we dismantled and destroyed in the terrorist camps (…) – will be repressed with an iron fist,” Katz wrote on X. He added that the Israeli army “will remain present in the terrorist camps of Jenin, Tulkarem and Nour Shams to prevent terrorism and attacks.”
The raid follows a large-scale Israeli operation in northern West Bank refugee camps last winter, initiated shortly after a previous truce in the Gaza Strip. That operation resulted in the displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinians, the demolition of numerous buildings, and the creation of new access routes through densely populated areas.
Since October 7, 2023, and prior to tuesday’s operation, at least 988 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers, according to figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry.
