Israeli Forces Conduct Raid in West Bank, Claim Foiled Attack
Kafr Quud, West Bank – October 28, 2025 – Israeli police and army forces conducted a raid in the village of kafr Quud, west of Jenin in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of three Palestinians.Israeli authorities state the operation targeted militants and thwarted a planned attack.
According to the Israeli army, after militants emerged from an underground hiding place, forces “attacked terrorists from the air” to destroy the infrastructure. police specified that an air raid was subsequently carried out on the cave “to destroy the terrorist infrastructure there.”
The Palestinian Ministry of Health, based in Ramallah, identified the deceased as Abdullah Mohammed Omar Jalamneh, Qais Ibrahim mohammed Al-Beitawi, and Ahmed Azmi Aref Nashrati, all in their 20s.
Footage from Agence France-Presse showed Palestinian firefighters extinguishing flames amidst charred rubble of a car and damaged olive trees near the cave entrance. The video depicted mattresses and personal belongings.
Israeli Defense minister Israel Katz asserted the raid foiled “a serious threat of attack.” He stated on X, ”Any attempt by terrorist organizations to rebuild terrorist infrastructure in Judea and Samaria - that we dismantled and destroyed in the terrorist camps – will be repressed with an iron fist.” Katz added that the Israeli army “will remain present in the terrorist camps of Jenin, Tulkarem and Nour Shams to prevent terrorism and attacks.”
The operation follows a large-scale Israeli military operation in northern West Bank refugee camps last winter, initiated shortly after a previous truce in the Gaza Strip.this operation resulted in the displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinians, the demolition of buildings, and the creation of new access routes.
Since October 7, 2023, at least 988 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers, according to figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry.
