International Forum too Explore Generational Approaches to combatting Systemic Corruption
A global forum launches today, November 28th, to examine the potential of generational movements to dismantle systemic corruption, focusing on case studies from Nepal, Indonesia, and the philippines. the International Forum, titled ’Can generational movements end systemic corruption? Lessons from Nepal, Indonesia and the Philippines,’ will convene experts and activists from across the globe to share insights and strategies.
The forum arrives at a critical juncture, as corruption continues to undermine democratic institutions, economic development, and public trust worldwide. The discussions aim to identify effective methods for mobilizing younger generations to challenge entrenched systems of corruption and foster lasting change.Conclusions from the forum will inform the upcoming 4th Assembly of the World Humanist Forum, scheduled for December 6th and 7th.
Key participants include Antonio Carvallo,Dorothy Adenga,Remigio Chilaule,and Javier Tolcachier,members of the World Humanist Forum Secretariat,joining from the United Kingdom,Kenya,Argentina,and Mozambique respectively. Dr. Godfrey G. Mendoza, CHED-CAR Educational Supervisor II and in-charge of the International Affairs Service, will represent the Philippines. Ms. Sheena Pearl L. Pangda will lead presentations,and Dr. Robert Frederick Hayden, president of the World Network of Universities for Innovation (WUNI-I), alongside Remegio Van Eys Chilaule (WHF, Mozambique), will deliver the closing message.
The forum begins at 7 p.m. (Philippine time), corresponding to 4:45 p.m. in Nepal, 6 p.m. in Indonesia (Jakarta), 2 p.m. in Kenya, 1 p.m. CET (Mozambique and Egypt), and 8 a.m. in Buenos Aires, Brazil and Chile.
