NBA YoungBoy Announces November 28 Release Date for New Album, ‘Slime Cry’
Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy has announced his next album, Slime Cry, will be released on November 28, continuing a remarkably prolific year for the artist. The announcement comes as YoungBoy wraps up his ”Make America Slime Again Tour” adn less than eight months after receiving a pardon from former President Donald Trump.
This new project marks YoungBoy’s fourth full-length release of 2024,following More Leaks in March,TIME in July,and DESHAWN in August. TIME notably featured the tiktok-viral track “Shot Callin,” while DESHAWN was hosted by DJ Khaled. YoungBoy revealed to Complex last month that he recorded approximately 30 songs during his recent North American tour, suggesting a substantial tracklist for Slime Cry.
The artist shared the album’s cover art-depicting himself atop a pillar during his tour-along with a pre-save link on Thursday, October 16. No tracklist or featured artists have been confirmed.
youngboy expressed gratitude to President Trump for granting him clemency in May, stating, “I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building-as a man, as a father, and as an artist.” He added, ”This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for, and I am fully prepared to step into this.”
Currently on his “Make America Slime Again Tour,” YoungBoy has upcoming performances scheduled in Nashville, Charlotte, Houston, Dallas, and Las Vegas, with K3, NoCap, toosii, and Offset joining him on select dates. The tour is set to conclude in November, just weeks before the release of Slime Cry.
