Allgäu Rugby Dominates, Secures 49-5 Victory in Second League Game
Kempten, Germany – Allgäu Rugby continued its impressive start to the Bavarian State League season with a decisive 49-5 win against their opponents on Saturday.The victory marks the team’s second consecutive win, solidifying their position at the top of the league table.
The commanding performance was fueled by a flawless kicking game from Sebastien Chaulé, who successfully converted seven elevation kicks and contributed a total of 19 points. This win underscores Allgäu Rugby’s strong combination of powerful forward play and swift backline runs, setting a high bar for competitors in the league.
The Kempten-based team quickly established a lead, beginning with a prosperous kick from Chaulé to put them up 7-0. Niko Haag followed with a try just seven minutes into the game,which Chaulé again converted,extending the lead to 14-0. Danai Chimunda added another try, bringing the score to 19-0 before halftime, with Chaulé’s kick making it 21-0.
After the break,Chaulé himself broke through the opponent’s defense for a try,successfully converting the kick to make it 28-0. Haag added two more tries to his tally, and Manuel Brunner contributed another attempt, all successfully converted by Chaulé. The opposing team managed a single consolation try in the final minute,resulting in a final score of 49-5.
Coaches Niko Haag and Nils Walters praised the team’s unified performance following the match.Allgäu Rugby now leads the Bavarian State League with ten points, ahead of MRFC Munich, who have six points.
Allgäu rugby will next host Ingolstadt/Würzburg at the TVK Sportpark in Kempten on Saturday, October 25th, with kick-off at 2:30 p.m.
