Wotan wilke Möhring to Take the Helm of “Who Knows Something Like that?” Quiz Show
German actor Wotan Wilke Möhring, best known for his role as detective Thorsten Falke in the long-running crime series Tatort, is stepping into a new role: host of the popular German quiz show Who Knows Something Like That? Möhring will debut in the position tonight, taking over from Elton in the “Who knows something like that?” XXL edition. This marks a critically important shift for the program and a new career chapter for the accomplished actor, leveraging his existing familiarity with the show and a proven aptitude for general knowledge.
The transition comes as the quiz show expands its broadcast schedule. Who Knows Something like that? will air regularly from Monday to Friday at 6:00 p.m. on Erste, beginning October 13th, alongside the continuation of “Gefragt – GeJagt” until the end of the year. Möhring’s selection isn’t a surprise to dedicated viewers; he’s already appeared as a guest contestant an remarkable nine times, alongside appearances on other game shows like ”Schlag den Star” and “quizduell-Olymp”.
Möhring first gained critical acclaim for his performance in The Experiment (2001).He achieved widespread recognition in Germany in 2012 when he landed a permanent role as chief detective in Tatort,portraying the tenacious investigator Thorsten Falke solving crimes in northern Germany.
