Silent Hill 2 Remake‘s ‘Born from a Wish’ DLC Remains Unconfirmed, Says Maria Voice Actor
One year after the release of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, hopes for the inclusion of the “Born From a Wish” DLC remain unfulfilled. Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, the voice actor for Maria in the remake, confirmed during a recent twitch stream on October 17th that she has not been contacted by Bloober Team to record additional content for the DLC.
“I’m just going to- I’m not going to announce any Born from a Wish thing,” Gunnarsdóttir stated, responding to questions from viewers. “Um, I have been waiting for Konami to say something, I even asked Bloober if they were going to say something, but we’ve not recorded anything from Born from a Wish. I’m so sorry. Um, I don’t know anything else, I just know I haven’t recorded any material for it. So. I’m sorry.”
The original “Born from a Wish” DLC for the 2001 Silent Hill 2 was exclusive to xbox players and focused on the character of Maria.
The Silent hill 2 Remake, developed by Bloober Team, launched on October 8, 2023, as a PlayStation 5 and PC exclusive. It is indeed reportedly set to join the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues on October 21st, according to insider billbil_kun of Dealabs. A trailer released last year indicated the game would be available on “other formats” beginning October 8, 2025.
