Northern Romania: Six Firms Vie for €27.2M Water Park Contract in Satu Mare County
Tășnad, Romania – The Tășnad city hall in Satu Mare county, northwestern Romania, has received six bids for the construction of a new water park, Aquapark Transilvania Terme Tășnad. The project, valued at RON 138.2 million (approximately EUR 27.2 million), represents a important investment in regional tourism and leisure infrastructure, with construction slated to take three years.
The planned water park, covering over two hectares, aims to boost tourism in the region and provide recreational facilities for both residents and visitors. it will feature seven indoor pools ranging in size from 45 to 400 sqm, alongside a 267.98 sqm outdoor pool and five jacuzzis on the upper floor. Funding for the ambitious project will be sourced from a combination of European funds and the city hall’s budget.
The competing bidders are associations led by: Proiect invest (with Ansthall Accent and 3G Sport – IP); Construcții bihor (with Igna Construct and drum Construct); Construcții Erbașu (with Pald Engineering and Euras); MBS Group (with Drumuri Orășenești, ASA Cons România and Blue Ocean); Kesz Construcții România (with Oberhauser Invest and Kesz Epito); and Dimex-2000 company (with Daroconstruct and Hidro Salt B 92).
According to official bidding documents, the main building will encompass a basement, ground floor, and first floor, totaling 7,246.30 sqm of built area and 16,884.70 sqm of total area (5,886.40 sqm basement, 7,246.30 sqm ground floor, 3,752 sqm first floor), alongside 123.70 sqm of additional built area and pedestrian walkways.
