Joe Marler Promises ‘Ultimate traitor’ Gameplay on Celebrity Traitors
England rugby prop Joe Marler is entering the second season of the BBC one reality competition The Traitors, promising a level of deception that will make him “the ultimate traitor.” the announcement, made ahead of the show’s september 29th premiere, has already generated significant buzz amongst fans anticipating a notably cunning player.
Marler, known for his on-field antics and outspoken personality, suggests he’s fully prepared to embrace the show’s core premise – to successfully deceive fellow celebrities while identifying the ‘traitors’ amongst them. The stakes are high: a cash prize of up to £120,000 for the ‘faithful’ contestants if they can eliminate all traitors, or the traitors absconding with the full sum. This season features a new lineup of celebrities including paul Gascoigne, Amanda Abbington, and Nigel Farage.
“I think I’m going to be the ultimate traitor,” Marler stated in promotional material. “I’m good at bluffing, I’m good at lying… I’m good at getting away with stuff.” He added that his competitive nature and experience in high-pressure situations on the rugby pitch will translate well to the game.
