Franklin, TN – The Knights of Columbus Council 7764 will host its second annual Casino Night this Saturday, October 18, from 6-10 p.m. at St. philip the Apostle church in Franklin. The event aims to raise funds for the council’s charitable endeavors, following a successful prior year that saw $38,000 donated to local organizations.
The Casino Night will feature Blackjack, Roulette, Texas Hold’ Em, and Craps with professional dealers and tables. A $100 ticket includes $10,000 in chips,heavy hors d’oeuvres,water and soft drinks,two complimentary drinks (with a cash bar available for additional beverages),entry into final drawings,and a chance to win door prizes.
A silent auction is currently underway, featuring items such as a Cajun Lobster Bar dinner for up to 10 peopel, a week-long stay at a Santa Rosa Beach vacation home, paintings by Vinci Kolodziesjaki, and hotel stays. “The Knights have a rich history of helping the people of our parish and community,” event materials state. “Along with their time and talents, the Knights help raise much needed funds to assist various charities… It is our hope and prayer that this event will be our most successful fundraiser yet.”
Beneficiaries of the Knights of Columbus Council 7764’s fundraising include St. Philip Christmas Baskets, St. Philip Play it Forward, St. Philip youth Ministries, University Catholic, Waves, Mercy HealthCare, and GraceWorks.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with introductions, opening remarks, and a blessing from Father Gervan Menezes, pastor of St. Philip. Instructional practice at each game table will follow at 6:30 p.m., with official play commencing at 7:15 p.m.
