shillong, Oct. 6 – Dr. Pratim Talukdar of PA Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMC) has made history as the first dental surgeon in Northeast India to be awarded the Certificate of Mastership in Implant Dentistry by the Global College of Oral Implantologists (GCOI), effective October 4.
The prestigious recognition signifies Dr.Talukdar’s demonstrated expertise, academic achievements, and clinical skills in the field of implant dentistry. Achieving the Mastership required fulfilling stringent criteria set by the GCOI Board of Directors,including advanced continuing education and triumphant presentation of verified clinical cases.
This Mastership places Dr. Talukdar among a select group of dental professionals globally committed to providing exceptional implant dentistry care. he is a respected specialist in prosthodontics and implantology, known for his patient-focused approach to advanced dental treatments.
Dr. Talukdar holds BDS and MDS degrees and is a Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists (FICOI, USA) and the American Dental Implant Association (FADI, USA). His areas of expertise include restorative dental surgery, dental implants, and full-mouth rehabilitation.
PIMC, a constituent college of the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), lauded Dr. Talukdar’s accomplishment as a landmark achievement for the region, enhancing its standing in advanced dental care.
