Zelensky: Russia’s Attacks & Lack of International Response

Zelensky Criticizes international Response Following Deadly Russian ⁤strikes on Ukraine

KYIV,Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sharply⁤ criticized the perceived lack of international response Sunday following a wave of Russian strikes that killed at least five people across multiple regions of Ukraine, including four in Lviv and‍ one in⁢ Zaporizhzhia. The attacks also resulted in widespread power outages ⁤as⁣ winter approaches.

Zelensky condemned the attacks, stating, “The Russians do not⁤ even try to hide⁤ their real ⁤intentions. The vast majority ⁢of targets were civil.” ⁢He accused Russia of deliberately targeting⁤ Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, specifically its gas, electricity production, and transport facilities, in a clear attempt to cripple the country ‍ahead of the colder months.

Russia openly ⁣tries to destroy our civil infrastructure at the moment, as winter ‌approaches,” Zelensky said, adding his frustration with⁤ “The‌ absence of an international reaction.”

Beyond the immediate impact ⁢of the strikes, Zelensky highlighted a concerning detail regarding⁢ the components used in Russian weaponry. He revealed that nearly 500‍ drones deployed by russia overnight contained⁤ over 100,000 parts manufactured in ‍countries around the globe.

“Each Missile and Russian attack drone contains parts that continue to be provided⁢ to ⁣Russia by Western ⁣countries and various neighboring countries,” Zelensky stated. He identified manufacturers from the United States, ‌China, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands as sources for these components.

Zelensky urged a complete halt to the supply of these parts, calling for action to “absolutely⁣ putting an end‌ to all of this.” The President’s statement underscores Ukraine’s ongoing plea for‌ stronger international support, ⁣not‍ onyl⁣ in terms of military aid but also in preventing the flow of materials that contribute to Russia’s war effort.
