Last Boat to Join Gaza Flotilla, Demonstrations Held worldwide
BRUSSELS, October 2, 2025 – Organizers of the Gaza flotilla confirmed today the final vessel has joined the maritime effort to deliver aid to the besieged territory, as demonstrations in support of Palestinians unfolded across Europe, Asia, and North America. The flotilla aims to challenge the ongoing blockade of Gaza, though its success remains uncertain amid potential interception by Israeli forces.
The coordinated demonstrations reflect growing international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Thousands marched in cities including Geneva, Paris, Marseille, Lille, Kuala Lumpur, and Rennes, expressing solidarity with Palestinians and condemning recent military actions. The flotilla’s attempt to reach Gaza comes as international pressure mounts for increased humanitarian access to the region, where aid organizations report critical shortages of essential supplies.
In Geneva, approximately 3,000 demonstrators participated in a parade, briefly clashing with police while unfurling a large Palestinian flag. Similar mobilizations occurred throughout France, encompassing Paris, Marseille, Lille, Grenoble, Lyon, and Rennes. Outside the American Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, dozens gathered to protest what they described as an “inhuman” operation.
The fate of the flotilla and its cargo remains unclear. Organizers have vowed to continue their efforts to deliver aid despite the risks involved, while Israeli authorities have maintained their right to enforce the blockade, citing security concerns. The situation is developing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
