Berlin Stone Skipping Championship: A Unique Competition Returns to Plötzensee Lido
Berlin, germany – Forget your traditional sports – Berlin is hosting a competition that’s all about finesse, technique, and a perfectly flat stone. The Berlin Table Masters, held at the Plötzensee lido, is drawing stone-skipping enthusiasts of all ages to compete for the coveted Berlin Titscher trophy.
This weekend, participants will gather to test thier skills in a surprisingly strategic sport. The rules are simple: throw a flat, natural stone across the water and aim for distance – not the number of bounces. Each competitor gets three throws to qualify for the next round, with both individual and team (groups of four) categories available.A dedicated section ensures young stone-skippers,aged 13 and under,have their own chance to shine.
Competitors are welcome to bring their own carefully selected stones, but all submissions are subject to inspection by the judging panel to ensure they meet the “natural stone” criteria.
Event Details:
* Duration: Ongoing until Sunday, October 5th, 2025
* Location: Plötzensee Lido, Berlin
Whether you’re a seasoned stone-skipping pro or a curious newcomer, the Berlin Table Masters offers a unique and entertaining spectacle. It’s a refreshing reminder that competition can come in manny forms – and sometimes,all you need is a good stone and a steady hand.
