Lewisburg, PA – A new program offering comprehensive support for families impacted by opioid use disorder (OUD) has launched in Union and Snyder Counties, spearheaded by Susquehanna Valley Mediation (SVM). the Families in recovery program aims to provide a holistic, community-based approach to address the challenges faced by individuals with OUD and their loved ones.
The initiative,developed in partnership with the Union and Snyder County Commissioners,the 17th District’s Treatment Court team,and individuals with lived experience,offers a range of resources including family mediation sessions,educational materials,and connection to vital community services. Recognizing the far-reaching effects of the opioid crisis, SVM’s program seeks to bolster families navigating recovery, reduce stigma, and foster long-term well-being.
SVM’s Families in Recovery program distinguishes itself through its collaborative model, engaging non-profits, faith-based organizations, and community partners.
