Sylvester Stallone Confesses to Anxiety Over harrison Ford‘s Potential ‘Tulsa King‘ Role
Sylvester Stallone revealed he experienced nervousness at teh prospect of Hollywood icon Harrison Ford potentially joining the cast of his Paramount+ series, “tulsa King.” The actor admitted the possibility of sharing screen time with a performer of Ford’s stature gave him pause, leading him to prefer the show’s ultimate direction.
Stallone, 77, discussed his initial reaction during a recent interview, explaining the anxiety stemmed from a career built on a specific type of leading role. “I was a little nervous when they said Harrison Ford might be in it,” he confessed. “Because I’ve always been the guy. I’m used to being the guy.” Ultimately, the show moved forward with a different ensemble cast, a decision Stallone appears to have welcomed.
“Tulsa King,” which premiered in November 2022, follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma. The series has been praised for Stallone’s performance and its unique blend of crime drama and fish-out-of-water comedy. While the show has not been renewed for a second season, Stallone has expressed interest in continuing the story, potentially exploring opportunities for a film continuation or “gig here and there.”
Throughout a career spanning decades, Stallone has become synonymous with iconic roles like Rocky Balboa and John Rambo. He reflected on his early struggles and relentless dedication to his craft, stating, “That journey – I wish I had been more aware. But you’re just trying to survive…I told myself, ’You’re probably not going to make it, but I don’t want you to have any damn regrets. You have to go 100%,not 99.'”
