Hong ‍Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park Declared a Resounding Success, Attracting Millions⁤ & ⁣Major Events

HONG‍ KONG – Kai ⁢Tak Sports Park (KTSP)‍ is rapidly establishing‌ itself as ⁣a premier event⁣ destination, having welcomed over seven million visitors – ​including over one million​ to Kai Tak Stadium alone – since its opening, according to park officials. The integrated sports, leisure, and entertainment hub ⁢has​ hosted more than 30 local ‍and international‍ sporting events, alongside a ⁢diverse calendar of entertainment offerings, ​significantly ​boosting​ Hong Kong‘s capacity to⁤ host world-class competitions and spectacles.

KTSP’s broad appeal was demonstrated in July‌ with the Hong​ kong football Festival,⁤ which drew nearly⁤ 100,000 spectators across just two matches. The park also saw a strong showing of local support for the AFC⁣ Asian Cup match⁢ between Hong‍ Kong, China and India, attracting over 42,000 fans to⁢ its inaugural football event ‌at Kai Tak Stadium.

A major coup for the venue came with ⁤the ​relocation​ of the ​Hong Kong Rugby Sevens to kai Tak Stadium in 2025.The three-day event exceeded 110,000 attendees, representing a nearly 15% increase from‍ the previous year, and included over 30,000⁤ international visitors.

“The response from Hong Kong sports​ fans has been ‌overwhelmingly positive,” a KTSP spokesperson ⁣stated.

Looking ahead, KTSP’s calendar remains packed. October will see Hong Kong ⁤china XVs play thier first rugby match at the stadium, against Japan. A ⁣”RED on RED: Gerrard 11​ vs Rio 11″ exhibition match featuring Liverpool ⁣legend Steven⁣ Gerrard and Manchester United icon ‍Rio Ferdinand is also‍ scheduled. The Hong Kong, China Representative Team will ⁢return for an Asian Cup Qualifier ⁤against Bangladesh, ‍and the ​Ultimate Tennis Showdown will make its Asian debut ⁤at Kai Tak ⁤Arena. Moreover, KTSP will serve as a ⁤key venue for‌ the 2025 National Games of ⁢the People’s Republic of China, ‍co-hosted‌ by Hong​ Kong, ⁢from‍ November 9-21.

Beyond attracting major ⁢events, KTSP is ​focused on community engagement and sustainability. The park plans to continue developing programs and workshops for local residents and supporting global sports progress. Initiatives ​focused on waste reduction, ​renewable energy, and conservation are ⁢also being implemented to enhance the ⁤visitor experience.
