Triple H Reveals Stephanie Vaquer Competed at Wrestlepalooza While Recovering From Illness
Following WWE Wrestlepalooza, Chief Content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque shared an update on Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, explaining her recent absence from television and teh unusual lead-up to her title match.
Levesque revealed Vaquer had been battling an illness for several weeks prior to the event in Indianapolis.While details of the illness were not disclosed, he confirmed it was a significant factor in her missing appearances on WWE programming.This absence contributed to a noticeably different build to her championship bout against IYO SKY.
“In the last few weeks,Stephanie has been very sick,” Levesque stated. “She was able to feel well enough and get cleared medically to compete tonight.”
Despite her recent health challenges, Vaquer successfully competed at Wrestlepalooza, defeating IYO SKY to win the vacant Women’s World Championship – her first major singles title on the main roster.
This victory marks a rapid ascent for Vaquer since joining the main roster, following her win for a number one contender’s opportunity at the Evolution premium live event. her championship win now positions her as a top star in the Raw women’s division.
Looking ahead, Rhea Ripley has already declared her intention to challenge Vaquer for the title, setting the stage for a future showdown.
