The situation escalated after Mantilla publicly denounced what she characterized as damaging and unfounded rumors. She warned of potential legal action against media disseminating the claims. Though,magaly Medina,host of the program ATV,responded by asserting she possesses evidence corroborating the reports,though she refrained from publicly displaying private chats out of respect for Mantilla’s privacy. Medina stated her program had investigated the claims for months, relying on verified sources rather than “corridor rumors.” She emphasized, “We have a way to test all that information, we have a way to try how we were, how they confirmed that information.We have not shown chats as we did not have to,but we do have evidence.” She also cautioned that the publication of the leaked private chats could constitute a violation of intimacy and defamation.
Mantilla’s statement criticized the media’s coverage generally, prompting Medina to question why Mantilla didn’t directly deny the authenticity of the circulated chats. Medina countered, “She had to go out to say that these chats were false, but rather, she encompasses everyone. There are those who have linked it adventurously, but it is not our case.we know how to prove what we said.”
The separation between Mantilla and Salcedo was previously announced, with Salcedo publicly criticizing a producer associated with “Arriba Mi Gente” in connection with the split.
