The Charlatans Unveil Dreamy ‘We Are Love‘ remix by MGMT
london, UK – The Charlatans have released a captivating remix of their new single, “We Are Love,” crafted by the acclaimed American psychedelic pop band MGMT. The remix premiered today on NME adn offers a fresh outlook on the track, taken from the band’s first album in eight years.
The forthcoming album, due out after a hiatus of eight years, represents a significant moment for The Charlatans and their dedicated fanbase. Produced by a stellar lineup including Dev Hynes (Blood Orange, lightspeed Champion), Fred Macpherson (Spector, Rachel Yourial, Jessica Winter, taahliah), and legendary producer Stephen Street (The smiths, Blur, The Cranberries), the record is already being hailed by some as the band’s best work to date. Tim Burgess, the band’s frontman, expressed his awe, stating, “I think it’s the best record that we’ve done. I’m filled with elation and pride around it.”
Burgess previously shared with NME in July that the band’s return hinged on a collective desire to create something meaningful. “We all felt we had to have the desire to make something, to have something to say, to be able to have something worthwhile that we all felt good about,” he explained. “We all love all 11 tracks,which is an amazing feat – for us all to love everything.” The album reportedly took over two-and-a-half years to complete.
