FAU Career Center Earns Top Honors as 2025 ‘Best of Florida’
BOCA RATON, FL – Florida Atlantic University’s Career Center has been recognized as the 2025 “Best of Florida” for Collage & Career Planning Services by The Guide to Florida. The award, determined by a public voting process, highlights the center’s commitment to student success and its leadership in career readiness within the state.
This distinction underscores the growing importance of robust career services in higher education, particularly as students navigate an increasingly competitive job market. The award impacts all 30,000+ FAU students, as well as the university’s network of over 30,895 registered employers, signaling a continued commitment to connecting talent with opportunity. The Career Center plans to build on this momentum as it advances its “career Services 2030” strategic vision.
“This recognition is especially meaningful as it comes from those we serve most directly – our students and community partners,” said Brian M. Montalvo, FAU assistant vice president of career services. “Success at this level doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s the result of a very dedicated staff at the Career Center, strong institutional support and a shared commitment to student success.”
The Career Center’s impact is demonstrated by its engagement with 27,020 unique students in 2024 – representing 70% of FAU’s student population – a figure unmatched by peer institutions. Graduates report an average starting salary of $56,925, according to SteppingBlocks, reflecting the center’s effectiveness in preparing students for employment. the center onboarded approximately 3,300 new employers in the past year, expanding access to a wide range of career opportunities.
Best of florida recognizes outstanding organizations across the state, with the “Best of” designation reserved for those receiving the highest number of votes in their category.
