Medellín, Colombia – A young child is in critical condition in a Medellín hospital after a brutal assault allegedly at the hands of his stepfather, sparking outrage and renewed calls for action against child abuse in Antioquia. Authorities have swiftly apprehended the suspect,identified as Cristian Alexis González Gallego,also known as “Lamp,” and linked to the criminal gang “Los Mondongueros.”
mayor Federico Gutiérrez confirmed the rapid arrest, stating, “The capture was made in record time. This child is fighting between life and death.” Preliminary reports indicate the child suffered severe head and chest injuries.
