Google Empowers Pennsylvania Small Businesses with New AI Accelerator Program

Pittsburgh, PA – Yesterday, at the AI Horizons Summit in Pittsburgh, Google announced a meaningful investment in Pennsylvania’s small business community. Selin song, President of Google Customer Solutions, joined Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce, and Team Pennsylvania to launch the google AI Accelerator for Pennsylvania small businesses.

This initiative is a key component of Google’s broader AI Works for America program, initially unveiled in July. The Accelerator aims to equip Pennsylvania’s entrepreneurs with the tools and knowlege needed to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven economy.

No-Cost Resources for Pennsylvania Businesses

The Google AI Accelerator provides a comprehensive suite of no-cost resources designed to help small businesses integrate AI into their operations. These resources include:

  • Hands-on Workshops: A series of live, interactive workshops will be held across Pennsylvania, led by a dedicated pennsylvania AI Coach and in collaboration with local community organizations. The program kicked off today with a workshop for 50 small businesses.
  • Online AI Training: Pennsylvania businesses can access google’s foundational AI and Prompting Essentials courses online,allowing teams to learn how to effectively utilize AI tools at their own pace.
  • Upskilling Opportunities: Google Career Certificates are available, offering businesses the chance to upskill their workforce in high-demand fields such as cybersecurity, data analytics, and project management – requiring no prior experience.
