Nurnberg‘s Lein Emphasizes “Bundesliga Feeling” Ahead of Women’s Bundesliga Season Opener

NURNBERG, Germany ‌ Ahead of Saturday’s home‍ opener against ‍Werder Bremen, Nurnberg midfielder Nastassa Lein highlighted ⁤the unique atmosphere of playing in larger⁣ stadiums and the excitement ⁣surrounding the upcoming Frauen-Bundesliga season.Lein, speaking in a recent interview, described the ⁢”Bundesliga feeling” as a‌ key motivator ‌for her and the‍ team.

“this Bundesliga feeling is ⁣something very special,” Lein stated.”The atmosphere is simply different,⁢ even if the ⁤stadium ⁣is not completely full. But ⁢it’s a ⁤stunning stadium – ‍the ⁤feeling of running‍ through‌ the ‌player tunnel ⁣is special every time.”

Lein contrasted the⁢ experience of playing at the Max Morlock Stadium with ‍home games at Max-Morlock-Platz, noting⁤ the⁤ increased scale of the event. “There is a tight program, ⁤music, supporting program, much more fans – and also guest‍ fans. For me, the Max Morlock Stadium is closely connected to ⁢the ‘Bundesliga feeling’. You just feel that we play here in ⁣the women’s Bundesliga.”

She also pointed to ⁣a potential advantage⁣ for Nurnberg, ⁣playing regularly in a larger venue. “It is indeed unusual for other⁤ teams to play in ⁣such a ‌large stadium. Some⁤ players are impressed by them, and that can be a small advantage for us.” Lein‌ expressed anticipation ⁢for upcoming matches at Berlin’s old forester’s shop and Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion.

Looking ahead to the match against Bremen, Lein acknowledged their opponent’s strength. “Bremen is an established Bundesliga club…they have stabilized, have been out of the⁤ lower table ⁤regions and have settled in midfield. you know exactly what you can do‍ – and what – and how you can win games.” She noted the recent appointment of Friederike Kromp as Bremen’s new trainer, suggesting Nurnberg may benefit from facing them early in the⁣ season,‌ while still maintaining Bremen is the favourite.

Lein also embraced the team’s often-underdog status. “In ⁤90 percent of ⁤the games we don’t go to the field as a favorite – and that is exactly what makes it⁤ exciting. You have to give everything every time.” She emphasized the importance of⁢ effort and pride, ‌nonetheless of the outcome.Fans can secure tickets for ⁤the game against Werder Bremen (Saturday, September ‍13th at 12 p.m.) through the online ticket shop.
