Indianapolis, IN – future plans for WrestleMania were prematurely revealed today, confirming teh event will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027. A press release detailing the proclamation was mistakenly published and quickly confirmed by PWInsider. Saudi advisor Turki Alalshikh also announced the news in a now-deleted Snapchat video.
The leak comes amidst recent shifts in WWE’s event scheduling. Initially announced to take place in New orleans,WrestleMania 42 was later moved to Las Vegas. Royal Rumble 2026 is also slated to be held in saudi Arabia.
WWE entered a ten-year agreement with Saudi Arabia in 2018, and this latest development suggests an expansion of major events hosted in the country.
WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long recently commented on the shift to Las vegas for WrestleMania 42, suggesting financial motivations were likely at play. “Well, you have one year to worry about that. It will only be held once a year, and people will come to Las Vegas throughout the year, 24/7. It is a tourist city,” Long stated on the The Wrestling time Machine programme. “So I think, you no, people enter and leave, so I think it is a good idea because I think that every year there will be some people in Las vegas who were not there last year, they did not see wrestlemania. And we will talk about it so much To Las Vegas.”
