Bethpage, NY – ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley is carefully observing player dynamics this week as he finalizes pairings for the upcoming competition, revealing that multiple players have already voiced a desire to team up with Bryson DeChambeau. While Bradley remained tight-lipped on specific combinations, he indicated these potential partnerships are under consideration as preparations intensify at Bethpage Black.

The U.S. team is using this week’s tournament as a crucial evaluation period, balancing individual readiness with opportunities to assess chemistry. Bradley emphasized the importance of allowing players to acclimate to the course adn focus on their own games, deferring extensive foursomes practice until closer to the Ryder Cup’s September 26th start. The stakes are high as the U.S. team aims to reclaim the Ryder Cup on home soil against a formidable European squad.

Tuesday’s practice rounds offered a glimpse into Bradley’s thinking, though without revealing definitive pairings. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler played alongside Ryder Cup newcomer ludvig Aberg and fellow rookie Eric Spaun, with assistant captain Zach Johnson completing the group. This pairing echoes a successful combination from the 2023 Presidents Cup, where Scheffler and Aberg went 2-0 in foursomes play.

Another group featured Patrick Cantlay, Sam Burns, and Justin Thomas, alongside rookie Cameron Young. Harris English and Collin Morikawa teed off in an earlier session.Ben Griffin, also a ryder cup first-timer, joined the practice sessions later after fulfilling a prior commitment, and is scheduled for a practice round with veteran Snedeker at Silverado.

Bradley clarified that the practice sessions focused on individual play, with no immediate plans for alternate shot drills.”We’ve got plenty of time for that,” Bradley stated.”We just wanted the guys to play together some. They’ve still got a tournament to get ready for this week.”

Tournament organizers have strategically grouped ryder Cup players in consecutive tee times for the first two rounds, beginning Thursday.
