RDS Announces Extensive 2025-2026 Hockey Coverage
RDS is gearing up for a extensive hockey season, broadcasting games featuring the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, and Laval Rocket.The network will air all 36 Laval Rocket home games during the 2025-2026 season, beginning with a game on September 17 at 7 p.m. against the Abbotsford Canucks at Place Bell in Laval.
This marks the tenth consecutive season Rocket hockey will be featured on RDS. Stéphane Leroux will handle play-by-play description, with Bruno Gervais providing analysis.Joining them will be the reporting team of François-Étienne Corbin and Jasmin Leroux,delivering interviews,reports on the Rocket,and news from the American Hockey League (AHL).
Beyond game coverage, RDS will supplement its hockey programming with news and information shows featuring its team of experts.This includes the news bulletins 30, 5 to 7, L’Antichambre, We Jase, and special broadcasts surrounding the NHL trade deadline and the opening of free agency.
Fans can also access Canadian hockey, Senators hockey, Rocket hockey, and L’Antichambre content through the RDS.CA website and the RDS application (available on Apple and Android).
Grand Pool RDS Returns
The Grand Pool RDS, Quebec’s largest hockey pool, will return for its 21st year on September 16 at noon. Participants can create their team alignments via the RDS application for a chance to win a $5,000 first prize, with a $2,000 award for the best pool and additional secondary prizes.
Crave Features Canadiens Documentaries
Starting september 24, Crave will offer a three-part documentary series exploring the history of Montreal Canadiens legends. The series will focus on Stéphane Richer (September 24), Chris Nilan (October 22), and Claude Lemieux (November 26), examining their dedication, sacrifice, and impact on the team.
“Reconstruction: In the Heart of the Montreal Canadiens” Continues
The second season of “Reconstruction: In the Heart of the Montreal Canadiens” is currently airing on Crave, with the final two episodes scheduled for release on Thursdays, September 11 and 18. The first season is also available for viewing on the platform. the series, produced by Fair-play in collaboration with Bell Média, provides an intimate look at the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons of the Canadiens.
RDS Celebrates Pierre Houde’s 50th Anniversary
On Tuesday, September 16 at 8 p.m., Luc Bellemare will host a special 90-minute edition of L’Antichambre dedicated to Pierre Houde’s 50-year career in media. The broadcast will feature guest appearances, archival footage, and anecdotes celebrating Houde’s contributions as the French-language voice of the Montreal Canadiens, as well as his work covering Formula 1 and the Olympic Games (14 editions).
