Blackpink‘s Rosé made history at⁢ the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming⁢ the first K-Pop soloist to win the “Best K-Pop” award.​ The victory, announced on September 10, 2024,⁢ at ​the prudential Center in‌ Newark, New Jersey, marks a notable milestone for the artist and the broader K-Pop⁣ genre.

This win underscores the increasing global influence of K-Pop and its artists, moving beyond dedicated fandoms to achieve mainstream recognition.
