Bajacalifornian judoka Kassandra Espinoza is set to compete this weekend ⁤at ‌the Pan American Cup Senior in El‌ Salvador,‌ vying for crucial ranking points and‍ a coveted position on the Mexican Judo⁢ National Team. ⁣Her goal? To represent Mexico at the central American and Caribbean ‍Games Santo domingo⁣ 2026, in⁤ the -48⁢ kilogram division.

“The preparation has been ⁣intense,” Espinoza stated. “After eight months of concentration at​ the CNAR, I had ⁤to adapt to a new process after not being part of the selection for four years. It wasn’t easy, as I mentally had to respond to the demanding​ training routines.”

Espinoza emphasized that her primary focus in El Salvador is accumulating points to improve her national ranking – a vital step towards achieving her dream of competing ⁢in the 2026 regional games.
