Lady Gaga Postpones Miami Concert Due to Vocal Strain
Miami, FL – Lady Gaga has postponed her Miami concert scheduled for tonight at the Kaseya Center, citing significant strain on her voice. The announcement came just before the show was set to begin, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.Gaga shared the news via Instagram Stories, explaining that vocal warmups and rehearsal the previous night revealed “extremely strained” vocal cords. Both her doctor and vocal coach advised against performing due to the risk of “long term or permanent damage.” While expressing her desire to perform, Gaga stated she doesn’t “wont to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords.”
The postponement impacts the final performance of a three-night run in Miami as part of her Mayhem Ball tour. Gaga emphasized the demanding nature of her live performances, noting the “significant risk” involved with a show of this scale, as she sings live every night.
“I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment,” Gaga wrote,adding she takes “serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show.” Her team is working to reschedule the concert as soon as possible.
Gaga remains scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden in new York City on Saturday and Sunday, and is also slated to appear at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she has received a leading 12 nominations.
