Los Angeles, CA – Actress Robin Wright, 59, has revealed she is currently in a loving relationship but has firmly closed the door on marriage following her divorces from Sean Penn and Clément Giraudet. In a new interview, Wright reflected on the difficulties of parenting alongside Penn and expressed regret over not being “hard enough” on her children, Dylan and Hopper.
Wright, known for her roles in House of Cards and Forrest Gump, shared her perspective on motherhood and past relationships with ES Magazine. She acknowledged challenges in co-parenting with Penn, with whom she shares daughter Dylan Frances Penn, 34, and son hopper Jack Penn, 32.”I have a huge regret as a mother and have experienced the fallout of this regret for many years with my kids – I wasn’t hard enough on them,” wright stated.
the actress’s son, Hopper Penn, has been open about his past struggles with addiction, specifically crystal meth, and credited his father with helping him seek treatment. He previously told ES Magazine: “I was doing a lot of stuff but meth was the main one that brought me down. I went to rehab as I woke up in hospital and my dad said, ‘Rehab? Or bus bench?’ I was like, ‘I’ll take the bed.’ Thank God I got out of that because that was the worst time in my life. Because it’s not fun when it gets to a point where you just need it.”
Wright and Penn met on the set of State of Grace in 1990 and married in 1996 before divorcing in 2010.Following her split from Penn,Wright married Clément Giraudet in 2018,but the marriage ended in 2019.While Wright has found happiness in her current relationship,she remains resolute in her decision to never marry again. she alluded to the complexities of her previous marriages and the impact they had on her family life, particularly during the period when she stepped back from acting to focus on motherhood after moving to a small town near San Francisco with Penn.
