Mexico City (CDMX) – Authorities have activated a Red Alert for parts of Mexico City as a severe weather system brings intense rainfall, hail, and strong winds.The Ministry of Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection issued the alert Sunday evening, forecasting rainfall between 50 and 70 millimeters in the boroughs of Álvaro Obregón, Coyoacán, and Magdalena Contreras.
The activation of the highest alert level signals a significant risk to residents and infrastructure.
