A violent incident in Østfold overnight has left two people injured, with one woman in her 30s airlifted to Ullevål hospital. Authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with the stabbings, which occurred just before midnight.
Investigation Underway After Stabbing Incident
The Eastern Police District confirmed that at approximately 00:09, officers responded to a stabbing that resulted in serious injuries. The woman was transported by air ambulance due to the severity of her condition. A male victim was taken to Kalnes Hospital with facial injuries. He was reportedly conscious upon the arrival of emergency services.
Suspect in Custody, Motive Unclear
Police have taken a man in his 30s into custody, who is facing charges of serious bodily injury. The incident reportedly involved four individuals at the scene. According to interim leader **Svein Roger Lunde**, two people remained at the property where the stabbing took place, while the other two departed.
“Possibly serious, but he was conscious when an ambulance arrived with the police,” the Eastern Police District wrote at 00:09.
Operations manager **Finn Håvard Aas** informed VG early Wednesday morning that there is a connection between one of the injured parties and the alleged perpetrator. The precise nature of their relationship remains under investigation.
