Bulls’ Kawamura Shines in Summer League Debut

Chicago Bulls guard Yuki Kawamura made a strong impression during recent Summer League action, showcasing his playmaking and shooting abilities. Following his performance, the Bulls signed kawamura to a two-way contract. Throughout the week, he averaged 10.2 points,6.2 assists,and 2.4 rebounds per game.


Wizards’ Sarr Sets Summer League Block Record

Alexandre Sarr, who finished third on the 2024-25 Kia Rookie Ladder, continued his progress and demonstrated leadership during the Summer League. Building on his rookie season average of 1.5 blocks per game, Sarr displayed his defensive prowess. On July 13,he set a new Summer League record wiht eight blocks in a single game,contributing to his 16 points and 12 rebounds. This defensive effort included a key block that could have secured the win.


Timberwolves’ shannon Jr. Impresses with All-around Play

Terrence Shannon Jr., selected 24th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, validated the trust placed in him by Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch, who utilized him during playoff games in his rookie season. Shannon Jr. provided a significant boost off the bench during a critical Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, where the Timberwolves faced a 3-0 deficit. His impactful play in that game served as a catalyst for his continued growth in the Summer League.

In the Timberwolves’ 94-83 victory over the Nuggets, shannon Jr. delivered a complete performance, scoring 24 points and making five three-pointers. He also achieved 20-point performances in three consecutive Summer League contests. As the Timberwolves aim to build on their recent success, having reached the conference finals for two consecutive seasons, Shannon Jr. is poised to add valuable depth on the wing and potentially earn regular playing time.
