Jeff Lynne‘s ELO has postponed a performance at Manchester’s Co-Op Live, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 10, due to Jeff Lynne’s illness.
Founded in 1970 by Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, and Bev Bevan, the Electric Light Orchestra achieved important success, releasing four U.S. platinum records: “A New World Record,” “Out of the Blue,” “Revelation,” and “Xanadu.” the band concluded its original run in 1986. In 2014, Jeff Lynne revived the project as Jeff Lynne’s ELO, releasing two subsequent albums: “Alone in the Universe” in 2015 and “From Out of Nowhere” in 2019. In recognition of his contributions, Lynne was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2020.
