Ramallah– Ma’an- The Palestinian Family Regulatory and Protection Association announced the successful achievement of its 18-month project entitled “Providing urgent sexual and reproductive health services to societies affected by the escalating violence in Palestine”, which is generously supported by the Japanese government and the Japanese people.

Promote partnership through results:

On July 1, 2025, the association’s leadership met His Excellency Mr. Araiki Katshuiko, Ambassador for Palestinian Affairs and Japan‘s representative to Palestine. The meeting included a comprehensive evaluation of the project by the external resident, Mr. Iyad Anabatawi, and a presentation of the project’s achievements.

“We are deeply grateful for the continuous support and the strong partnership that we developed with Japan,” said Ms. Amal Awadallah, the executive director of the association. “This project was essential in providing life -saving services for Palestinian women and girls during difficult times,” she added.

The project’s achievements exceed the initial goals

The project, which concluded on June 30, 2025, has greatly exceeded its original goals, which shows the urgent need for sexual and reproductive health services in Palestine.

The main achievements include:

• More than 67,000 total beneficiaries reached (bypassing the initial goal of 42,240)

• More than 280,000 service provided through all project activities (bypassing the initial goal of 126,480)

• More than 150,000 services in the field of sexual and reproductive health and gender -based violence provided by four clinics and services to provide services in Ramallah, Hebron, Halhoul, and Bethlehem

• 200 house

• 108 medical campaigns organized, reached more than 60,000 people in societies

• 86 meetings within the activity of “Preparing for Childbirth” presented to pregnant women, especially pregnant mothers for the first time

The project also produced media materials, including educational brochures and a documentary video that highlights the impact of the project on Palestinian societies.

Contribute to human security

The primary goal of the project was to contribute to humanitarian security in Palestine by preventing the deaths that could be avoided for women and girls by providing the basic sexual and reproductive health services of life, including support for survivors from gender -based violence and survivor management.

For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Araiki Katshuiko stressed the commitment of Japan to support Palestinian societies, especially in addressing critical health needs and human security challenges, stating that it is

“With the continued escalation of regional tensions, the humanitarian situation on the ground becomes more fragile. In this volatile context, reaching sexual and reproductive health services is not just a health issue, but a issue of dignity, protection and flexibility. Through the project, we were able to reach some of the most weak groups by providing care that created a real difference. Today, we acknowledge not only the success of this initiative but also with the urgent need to expand this Efforts. “

Looking at the future

The successful achievement of this project shows the effectiveness of international cooperation in addressing urgent humanitarian needs and the extent of the need for its continuation. At the end of the meeting, the Palestinian Family Organization Association expressed its sincere gratitude to the people and the Japanese government.
