Supreme Court Upholds Tennessee’s Ban on Gender-Affirming Care for Minors
The U.S. Supreme Court has decided that states can restrict gender-affirming healthcare for young individuals. This ruling, which impacts thousands of families, allows Tennessee to limit or prohibit treatments like puberty blockers and hormone therapy for those under 18.

Arguments and Concerns
The case, known as United States v. Skrmetti, marked the court’s initial involvement with transgender healthcare. Three Tennessee transgender teenagers, their parents, and a doctor contested the law.
